Renee Good Public Memorial And Ceremony At Powderhorn Park 2/7/2026 (Photos And Links)

Thousands gathered at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis to grieve, mourn, and be in community, one month after the tragic loss of Renée Good at the hands of ICE for her public memorial. The memorial ceremony was led by Chief Arvol Looking Horse and followed by community singing, poetry, and more. The public memorial was in collaboration with: NDN Collective, Brave Heart Society, Indigenous Protector Movement, American Indian Movement, Freedom Trainers, Sunrise Movement, and Project South, among others.

 Man - this guy, and remember what he did on January 6th - basically he's so dejected by the fact no one actually showed up for his right wing protest that he's got to lie about being lynched for being a White Christian. 

Please. 

And he says it was an anti-White mob of liberals and illegal immigrants.

One. There were plenty of good White People there to combat that statement (thank you White Allies). 

Two. Did he check the paperwork of anyone there?

No.

So how can he say anyone was illegal?

He can't.

It's just lies to incite more racism and xenophobia.

"Look at me! I'm a White Christian Man who got beat up by all these Non-White illegal immigrants!"

Again. Please.

Now did he get his ass handed to him by a bunch of counter protesters here in downtown MPLS?

Damn MF straight he did. 

Did they kill or maim him? No.

Water and some contact from being jostled around.

Did anyone spray tear gas, or pepper spray him? Did they detain him without a warrant?

Did they shoot him? Stab him to death?

No.

And I mean listen--this wasn't a protest to shine light on fraud. You don't plan to burn a Qur'an and hit the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood--this was an Anti-Islam Pro-Ice Hoped He Got Some Buddies To Play With "protest".

What did he expect would happen? 

After ICE murdered Renee Good? After they've taken people from their homes without warrant. Stopped people for no reason other than looking Brown and Black?

Nobody's going to let you do that here.

And let that be a lesson to any of you right wing zealots who want to come to our state and cities to incite more violence. 

You too will be headed back just as quick as you got here.

TO THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA LIKE THE NY TIMES...

Ummm--get your copy right:

"A protest at City Hall was organized by a conservative influencer to draw attention to a fraud scandal in the state. He was chased by counterprotesters lobbing water balloons in frigid temperatures."

This was an Anti-Islam, Anti-Somali, Pro ICE protest. 

Stop helping with the false narrative and making it out to be something it was not.

Do better and provide more context.

If You Are Not From MN...

This is something I wrote about five days ago on social media and am reposting here:

If you're from out of state and only seeing some coverage/messages, and maybe aren't sure what's going on or think MN is just going after federal agents--let me be clear: ICE is randomly stopping Brown and Black people to ask their status as citizens. They don't have judicial warrants and they have no probable cause outside of racial profiling. They are arresting or using force to bystanders who are not in their way and just documenting what is happening. It's like ten agents to one person. They are using force when no force is needed. 

They are the ones not following the rule of law and we are reacting. They are the ones who are being lawless and we have to deal with our emotions, how to prepare, where do we go, where do we not go. 

We have to carry documentation looking over our shoulders. 

Why should I or anyone from my family or anyone who looks like us have to carry around documentation to show we're citizens of the U.S. when others don't? 

They are going door to door in some areas looking to get their quotas. They are reports of them asking, for instance, to tell people where Asian Americans live so they can harass our community, among many other communities. 

So many businesses, and organizations, and schools have shut down not because they've done anything wrong, not because they are illegal--but because they are scared. Because they know that it is lock you up first and ask questions later. 

This is not American. This is the exact opposite of what America should be and what it was founded upon. 

And if you're religious, Christian--what is leading you? Politics and mainstream media, or acting out of love, having love for your enemies and those you disagree with, and keeping your heart and mind open to other narratives? People hide behind religion to do heinous acts and this time is no different.

There is a lot of soul searching this country, and its people will need to do.

Do you think you can scare this state and these Cities into not showing up to mourn the loss of a community member who was helping to protect families from what can only be described as the new SS of the new American Nazi Regime?

You cannot. Get the fuck out of our state you heartless motherfuckers.
