Here are some links to som of the current gofundme's for affected families here in MN from the AAPI commuity--and let's also levelset that this is not an exhaustive list of those who need help, this is a snapshot of current fundraisers to help families.
When you listen to other stories, and some of these are more personal in nature for me, it's the same across the board: checked-in, no issues before this, but now--for quotas, xenophobia and racism, and Operation Metro Surge and Operation PARRIS--people are just getting swept up.
If you aren't sure what Operation PARRIS is (because I don't think everyone knows) here is the lowdown:
The Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services have launched Operation PARRIS in Minnesota, a sweeping initiative reexamining thousands of refugee cases through new background checks and intensive verification of refugee claims. They have now begun referring cases of fraud and other crimes to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Basically another excise to pick people up...
