Fresh Off the Boat Cast Gets Racist Question at TCA Panel: See Their Comical Response

Not cool. On ABC’s upcoming comedy Fresh Off the Boat, the Huang family is immigrating from Taiwan to America and navigating the murky waters of racial insensitivities. The cast of future sitcom was similarly met with an offensive question on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at the ABC TCAs, eliciting gasps and uncomfortable laughter in the ballroom of the Langham Hotel in Pasadena Calif. The panel’s very first question of the day came from an unknown reporter who said, “I love the Asian culture. And I was just talking about the chopsticks, and I just love all that. Will I get to see that, or will it be more Americanized?”

Jessica Chastain makes emotional plea to Hollywood to fight against 'racist agendas' following 'all white' Oscars nominations

Jessica Chastain was on the verge of tears as she delivered an impassioned acceptance speech at the Critics' Choice Awards. Accepting the inaugural Most Valuable Player honour on what would have been the 86th birthday of Martin Luther King Jr, she made an emotional plea to Hollywood to use its powerful collective voice to “speak up” against human rights injustices within the industry and the rest of the world. “Today is Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday, so it got me thinking about our need to build the strength of diversity in our industry, and to stand together against homophobic, sexist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic and racist agendas,” she said.

Disturbing video shows children as young as five singing racist song to the tune of 'if you're happy and you know it clap your hands'

A disturbing racist video has emerged of three girls aged between five and seven singing 'if you all hate p**** clap your hands' to the tune of a popular children's song. The three blonde children are shown sitting in a circle clapping their hands while singing the hate chant for the amusement of an adult filming them. During the racist song a toddler boy wanders around the room while the little girls sing the offensive phrase to the tune of 'If you're happy and you know it clap your hands'. The video, believed to have been produced in the Greater Manchester area since the New Year, has sparked outrage online and among anti-racism charities.

The RNC Is Censuring a Member for His Racist Facebook Post—But It Can't Kick Him Out

"Dave Agema's history of harmful and offensive rhetoric has no place in our party, which is why the RNC Executive Committee acted in the swiftest way possible to avoid giving him a platform," Priebus said in a statement Wednesday. "We have voted to censure him, and we are urging the Michigan GOP and their voters to explore options to discipline Agema for his actions. Today, we used all available tools to remove him from the committee."

Agema has a long history of inflammatory remarks, and his latest offense was a late-December post in which he republished an essay from white-supremacist newsletter American Renaissance. The essay—which Agema declared "very enlightening"—argued that "blacks are different by almost any measure to all other people. They cannot reason as well. They cannot communicate as well. They cannot control their impulses as well. They are a threat to all who cross their paths, black and non-black alike."
