A Few Of My Favorites
Rocketeer
Probably one of my favorite tracks on the whole album it's got this smooth Electronic R&B Hip Hop Pop Vibe where you just want to roll down the windows, turn it up, and just drive.
So What?
I like the featured guests on the album - don't get me wrong about that - but this track with FM alone?
Anthemic.
And a certifiable club hit.
Don't Look Now
Keri Hilson + FM = just exactly what you think it should.
Fighting For Air
If "Rocketeer" seems like that song you play while driving with that someone next to you in the middle of the night just feeling each other out in light tactile steps - because it just feels good, than "Fighting For Air" is its more aggressive steady tempoed cousin waiting to be let grinded down in a back room, random place, or club of your choice - in a way a prequel to "Rocketeer".
White Flag
Straight pop - but catchy as hell.
It's Just That Damn Good
There's really no other way to put.
It just is.
So get on out, pick it up on iTunes and put it on repeat.
No controls necessary.

Yes It's True: Far East Movement Takes The #1 Spot Over Justin Bieber
Wednesday, September 22, 2010I should probably qualify however that it was from one of the major local radio stations here in the Twin Cities where people call and txt for their favorite song - but if people want to consistently say that the real litmus test is gaining recognition in Mid-America (because we're the ones that really count and will bail you out when your metros fall into the ocean) - well - I guess they should be #1 on Billboard.
They're not - but they're damn close.
Far East Movement's song "Like a G6" (featuring Dev and The Cataracs) has been tearing up the music billboards lately. It's receiving major play on pop radio stations everywhere. It currently sits at #16 on the billboard top 100, which is easily the highest ever for an Asian American musical group. This is unprecedented territory, and encouraging news for other talented musical groups like Legaci that faced early barriers but see recent traction.I'm just going to go out on limb here (not really) and say that they're going to sell a lot of albums in their first week when Free Wired comes out on October 12th.

Seoulbeats And Far*East Movement
Wednesday, June 17, 2009
I think I'm posting this in part just because I like the picture that Seoulbeats put up for their interview with FM. Here's a snippet:
SB: I know you want to raise the Asian-American profile in the US, how do you go about that?Check out the full interview here.
I think a lot of it has to do with us putting in the work that we do. Because when we were younger we didn’t have a lot of Asian-American representation, other than, like, Mr. Miyagi and Bruce Lee . So something like being a musician or an actor or anything like being an entertainer other than, you know, the more typecast roles, is hard and didn’t seem like an achievable goal. It’s really grown a lot in the last few years and it’s not just us doing our music and doing our best to represent our people, but also through supporting other people; which is why we have things like the International Secret Agents concert [with Wong Fu Productions], where we showcase Asian-American talents. And there’s people like, you know, Wong Fu productions and David Choi, who have built these fan bases, and by us being able to create these platforms really helps with that. I think it’s worth noting too, I think that dance, the Asians that are representing in dance are huge right now. With Quest and the JabbawockeeZ, the Jabbawockeez are pretty much as mainstream as you can get.

LOWRIDIN X FETISH
Sunday, March 22, 2009"LOWRIDIN" - FAR EAST MOVEMENT x ORISUE x ALPINE
Got this sent out to me last week from the FM team and wanted to make sure to post it on up as it's pretty cool. Here's the e-mail/release:
FAR EAST MOVEMENT, ORISUE CLOTHING, AND ALPINE ELECTRONICS COLLABORATE FOR "LOWRIDIN X FETISH""FETISH" - FAR EAST MOVEMENT (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
The internationally known, Los Angeles based hip-hop group- The Far East Movement (FM) who have reached national radio success with their hit singles "Lowridin" and current single "Girls On The Dance Floor", have teamed up with street wear company Orisue Clothing and mobile electronics giant Alpine Electronics for an innovative collaborative music video and limited edition t-shirt project titled "LOWRIDIN x FETISH". This project showcases a recent fusion that has taken place between the lowrider/import culture, the ever-popular streetwear phenomenon and the indie music scene and how these 3 industry leading brands are finding new avenues to expand their reach in new markets.
