I Guess I Just Have To Give It Back (aka You Gotta Help Build The Community...If You Have Time)

I decided to check on stats for this POS and even though I hadn't posted anything new, about 40,000 people still came for something generally APIA related in the last year and it just made me think that in a way it had to be picked back up. It's not millions of people, but when compared to offline in either work needed, cost, or both, if one of the goals is to help promote, I have to use it.

Gotta give it back.

Pet Peeve For The Day

I'm not saying I always eat a whole box of Triscuits - intentionally - but when I'm close - my thought is that they should put enough cheese in the squeeze cheese container to cover all of the Triscuits because a plain Triscuit just isn't as good as one with squeeze cheese on it and in a way there's almost nothing more pitiful than leftover lonely Triscuits without the companionship of gooey cheese from a can (although not so pitiful that I'll go to the store for more).

That's it.

Slanty People + Nobel Prize For Literature

I was reading an article in Newsweek from a couple of weeks ago about how the Nobel Prize in Literature doesn't really mean much in the long term and also carries with it a curse (unless you were Faulker apparently) - and while I don't really agree or disagree - I did wonder who were the winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature who had the Slant since it's been given out in 1901 (102 times).

Here's the list starting in decending order (all info taken from the Nobel Prize site). I don't think I missed anyone, but if I did, feel free to add it in below.

Two Random Thoughts On T.V.

1. Thanks to Hulu, I've caught up on a couple of episodes of Glee that I missed and I'm curious to see where it goes and how they play out the characters. Patrick Gallagher as Ken Tanaka getting more face time is a huge plus. Iqbal Theba keeps on stealing scenes. They've even added in another Asian American face to the club (role and length of stay yet to be determined). But Jenna Ushkowitz's character............maybe they'll finally make Tina more interesting now that she's got a lead in West Side Story.
   
2. Can someone please make Kunal Nayyar who plays Rajesh on The Big Bang Theory speak around the White Girl? I mean I know it's "White Goddess" and all, but it's starting to get a little demeaning when the only character of color - and an Asian American male - still can't speak around "the blond".

I Would Completely Love To Be Reincarnated As Oprah's Cat

For some odd reason I was thinking about what a great life it would be like to be Oprah's favorite cat.

I'd probably have a plush apartment, my own chef, unlimited toys (some of them who I'd think of as my enemies) . And I can only imagine how good the catnip would be. I'm not quite sure who makes the best, most chill catnip out there, but I know I'd have the best.

All in all, one could live a worse life.

I could come back as a dung beetle. No long cuddle sessions and people stroking me all day, contemplating my life of doing nothing.

Nope.

It could just be dung.

Blogger totally needs spell check in the title area...'cause sometimes I just can't spell.

Sushi Love?

I just had this strange thought that the one thing I really don't hear about is people getting caught having sex with sushi by their wives and then their wives file for divorce because their husband was cheating on them with sushi.

You just don't really hear about that you know?

Now I'm not exactly sure why I'm posting on this because all it might do is make you wonder "Why was he thinking about having sex with sushi?" and to be honest, I can't really tell you that - not because I was thinking about having sex with sushi and don't want to admit to it - because I would tell you - but simply because it came out of the blue - from nowhere.

And I think that scares me.
