It Can't Just Be Carrie Ann Inaba

You know I love watching some DWTS, and while this upcoming season has people in it that'll be interesting to see how they do - Jewel, Steve Wozniak, and David Alan Grier - did I miss the Asian American contestant? Was there a rule that we don't know about that says once you have an Asian American who wins it all that you can't have another on a season directly following that one?

Did I not get the memo?

Yeah that's right: Kristi Yamaguchi Wins DWTS

If Kristi Yamaguchi, who ended up with a perfect 90 between the show's two day finale (which was a first) didn't win the whole damn thing, I would have had to ask the question of what the world had against a slick Asian American woman who danced her ass off to perfection.

On a side note: I've slowly become a fan of that trophy. It's actually kind of cute.

DWTS: Kristi Yamaguchi gets down and Cheryl Burke gets a real partner

On the finale of Dance War - and you know how I felt about that show - the new contestants were announced for Dancing With The Stars - and one of them is Asian American figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi who will be paired with dancer Mark Ballas - and I while I couldn't stand Dance War I do like some DWTS because where else can you see Penn Jillette try and ballroom like the pros?

At the same time, it's nice to see that AA dancer Cheryl Burke finally got a partner who wasn't a bust this time around (no offense Wayne - you're still tops in Vegas babe) so maybe she'll actually have a shot at winning this time around.

Dance War: Carrie Ann Inaba

If you can't - or won't - be able to get enough of Dancing with the Stars or Carrie Ann Inaba judging the good, the bad, and the danceless - she'll be starring in a new show with fellow judge Bruno Tonioli called Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann.

Two teams will compete against each other - one headed out by Carrie Ann Inaba and the other by Bruno Tonioli where they will then be voted on each week by viewers, and then the losing team will have a contestant voted off by their coaches.
