I can't actually vouch for this opera (because I know nothing about it), but that really doesn't matter because:
1. Who would you rather take opera advice from - me - or the people from the Pulitzer? Sure, you may want to say me right away (but only because you know I'm that incredible) but in this case (and this doesn't happen often so don't get used to it) that answer would be wrong.
2. It won a Pulitzer - and while yes you can say that might not mean anything - well - wtf have you done? When you win a Pulitzer then maybe you can scoff at it.
