He tried to make himself a black candidate and was quite successful," said Hank Sheinkopf, a consultant who worked for fourth-place finisher David Weprin in the race for controller.To me it's just plain idiocy that an Asian American candidate can't just appeal to other races and ethnicities, but rather if they make inroads to other communities, are sometimes perceived as trying to be someone else.
