While you definitely have to give a lot of credit to director Jessica Yu and stars Smith Cho and Jimmy Tsai for giving us a laugh out loud Asian American comedy - without Felix (Andrew Vo) and his clan of prepubescent friends looking for an escape from their parents after-school grip, it just wouldn't have been - well - as good - and really, the story would have fell apart too. So let that be a lesson to everyone out there looking to make an Asian American comedy. If all else fails, just get a character like Felix to drop the F-bomb.
