Most Hyped Asian American Comedy I Just Didn't Like As Much As I Thought I Would

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay



It's not that I didn't like the movie - it was fine in its own right and obviously I was glad to see Asian Americans on the big screen in a big budget flick - but for some odd reason I just couldn't get into it as much as I thought I would. Maybe it was because it didn't have lines like "Better Luck Tomorrow" in it, or that the idea of NPH as a sex crazed lunatic just didn't have the same surprise factor as the first, or that Bush 2 looked like he was from a wax museum -- or maybe I just really love White Castle so much that I just couldn't find enough love in my heart for a Harold and Kumar who weren't trying to make it their end game.

Who knows though.

Maybe in time it'll grow on me.
