In collaboration with Emily's List and Annie's List, the Asian American Civic Project funds and trains five Campaign Fellows and places them with campaigns in communities throughout the country with AAPI communities in battleground states such as Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada and Washington State.
Part of the barrier to AAPIs achieving our full political potential is the shortage of AAPI political campaign managers, legislators and civic leaders and as well as the lack of a strategic pipeline to encourage, facilitate and support political participation within AAPI communities.
The Asian American Civic Project is intended to serve as one of those pipelines to give recent graduates or those i nterested in a second career in politics an introduction into the political process.
