Jin, Politics, And To The Washington Post Being Chinese Is The Same As Korean

This is one of the reasons I'll never write for a newspaper - too many people with MFA's who sip lattes and can't tell Asian people apart - even though they're famous, even though they have a picture of the person with the article, and even though the writer himself might be Asian American:



While it's great that they talked about Jin in their recent article on rap and hip artists who support Obama, you'd think they could at least get his ethnicity right.

I mean didn't they listen to the song "Learn Chinese"?

* I'll give the writer some slack though - maybe it's just the newspaper influence - and who knows - maybe it was his editor playing a cruel joke...
