And Here's Your Stream Of Consciousness Post For The Month

Since it's been a busy ass week for me and I haven't really had time to post much, but am now sitting warmly in my office as I'm ripping some DVDs (the "backup" gene just comes standard when we're born I think) I just thought I'd start to ramble on about absolutely nothing including the following:

1. As a person of color who's had his fair share of run-ins with cops I think I sometimes instinctively turn down my music as I pass cops on the street even if they're stopped over on the side of the road pulling someone over - I think deep down I must be thinking "They just need a reason to pull me over".

2. I've been cataloging my movies and music videos - both in DVD and ones that are just on my RAID drive, and one of the things I realized was that my collection of Asian American media is kind of slim in comparison to my other media in general. I figure I have about 75 titles right now and while on one hand it's a nice amount, at the same time it feels kind of weak ya know?

3. Speaking about #1 - I think the best time I ever had with the police was when I was in the back of a cop car and the cop was asking me what being on 'shrooms was like and all I could utter was "It's totally euphoric."

And yes - I realize how this makes #1 look.

4. On movies and movie collections - I don't know about you, but as I'm cataloging them I'm also making pie charts to go in my spreadsheet. I was thinking about databasing it, but I figure Excel is good enough for now, and again, not sure about you, but I like to have my DVDs alphabetically organized by genre in my storage units.

5. Don't we all love free shit?

6. I'd rather gamble away $1000 versus spending it on a suit because it's not like that suit is ever going to yell "Black Jack!" - and there's just something nice about hearing that - and I realize that for people that actually like suits $1000 probably isn't a lot to spend on a suit - but this is why I gamble, which I know makes absolutely no sense - but neither do $1000+ suits.

7. Is there really a need for soft-core porn? Do people really work their way up from soft-core to hard-core?

8. This really is a random stream of consciousness post.
