Mass Gathering + Journalists

Monday, August 10, 2009

While you probably already know about this if you're going - I figure why pass up the chance to post up on Asian American journalists descending down on the city of Boston.

The largest organization representing Asian American journalists is set to begin its national convention. The Asian American Journalists Association will hold the group's 20th convention in Boston starting Wednesday and will offer attendees a number of workshops aimed toward multimedia and online video training.

Coined the "Road to Reinvention" convention, the gathering will also feature panels on how journalists can break into executive management positions. The four-day convention comes as other minority journalism groups struggle with declining membership and the effects of layoffs throughout the media industry.
