Cindy King, chair of the Alliance YWCA Black History Committee, believes the process to end racism has to start within each person. So, she helps plan YWCA events for Black History Month. And she does not stop there. She promotes the organization's work on racism in Alliance all year round. She is also a mediator and uses those skills to problem solve on racism-related issues throughout the community.
